My stylised illustrations

made withBlenderBlender

Characters inspired by the folks of Kerala, from my memories of films, mural art, and people. I built them in 3D, in a style of my own: matte clay skin, painterly light, elongated figures, each held together by a pattern at its core. Every character begins the same way, with a pattern and then a sketch. The pattern makes the image easy to read and feel complete. The solid mesh view shows the smooth and clean geometry underneath.

Matha

Manka

Mukkuvan

Midukki

Midukki

A clever girl, surrounded by eyes and unbothered by any of them

This series was made in 2024, a year spent pushing my 3D toward a style that doesn't resemble anything else. Each character is built around a single pattern. The set is still open, and I keep taking the style further, now with AI in the process.

Hand-drawn illustrations

made withProcreateProcreate

Drawing came before everything else. Long before design was work, it was just what I did with my time. Each of these is hours of work by hand in Procreate, spent chasing a style of my own. The film behind each piece shows the drawing from the first line to the last.
